Doris Dolina is my website created to transcribe my thoughts into letters , to depict my actions in words, to express my emotions, sentiments and feelings in a language familiar and understood by all.
My first blogsite was Dureza Dolina and it used to be an ?all about me? site.? After a couple of unsuccessful attempts to make more informative, interesting and attention-grabbing stories about me, I came to realize that I cannot talk too much about me for, in the first place, there is nothing interesting to talk about me anyway. When I made a review of my blog entries a few days ago, I notice that I get more interesting and unfamiliar topics worthy to be talked of from other people?s mouth. A lot of unrelated, peculiar, surreal, and sensational stories outside the confines of my own limited world seem like delightful and interesting for me to scoop and write something about it. I only need to extensively open my two eyes and expand my earsdrums to its maximum potential to increase the sound decibels of my precious hearing and grasp the unedited stories , or even the casual conversations, of other humans existing in close proximity to me. In some instances, I have already exercised this extraordinary ability to listen to other people?s conversation without being noticed, in other words, I have tried eavesdropping. While listening to their stories, and while the left hemisphere of my brain is processing the collected data to my memory cells, the right hemisphere of my brain is, in turn, concocting up some thoughts that would probably be weaved to the actual stories and come up with an original write-up. Everyday, from the time you step out of your homes until you reach your point of destination, you meet different people from different walks of life who have different tales to tell. Some of these stories may be boring, others are just ordinary while some others are pretty exciting. But don?t underestimate the ordinary ones for those are better sources of information to create a more exciting write up. Out of eavesdropping, you learn other people?s stories, learn new things, get opinions, commentaries, enjoy some tales, adapt the moral stories and best of all, your get some free mental exercise to loosen up the iron barriers in between the cell membranes of your brain that causes mental lapses and some memory gaps through remembering what you have heard. Eavesdropping is in a way similar to watching the showbiz talk shows, regular TV novelas and even the primetime news for they all talk about people, events, styles, real life dramas and the hosts make comments and air their opinions. Eavesdropping, though, is more personal and limited, is nothing different to what the reporters do when they try to get a scoop. You see, there are good and positive things that is brought about by eavesdropping, although I am just giving some justice to the negative connotation of my new found ?bad? hobby of snooping, that will surely make one?s existence worthy.
After I managed to write a few blogs about other people?s stories, I realized that I had lots of ideas cramped in mind waiting to be transcribed and encoded but I instead ended up looking blankly in front of my computer. Having so many topics and stories in my mind gave me a lot of wasted time doing nothing in front of my laptop. It was then that I decided to change again my subtitle – something which I believe to be more familiar ? to ?what men ought to know about the women?s world?. With this sub-title, I limited myself to think of topics related to women yet interesting to men. I talked about relationship, motherhood, parenting, hobbies, and many more. I even bought a my own domain name because I was supposed to stick on this topic until something happened to this blogsite. (please read THIS article to know why it?s no longer existing). It was very depressing yet a humbling experience.
When I lost my first blogsite, I also lost my internet and telephone connection, and worse, my laptop went wrong too. For a while I thought of ending my blogging activities and instead concentrate on reviewing for next year?s bar examination. Then I started to I browse my old review materials, read a few pages of the civil law book and read a couple of Supreme Court decision. But then I didn?t understand a thing on what I have read for my mind was always on my ?defunct? blogsite. Instead of wasting my time thinking and feeling sorry about the blogsite that also gave me some extra penny, I went on to make a new site and revive my two hibernating sites (this site and www.practicalhousewife.blogspot.com) I posted again some of the blogs in my original site and published some blogs.
This is now my personal website with the same blog title ? DORIS DOLINA ? but with different sub-title. This time, my sub-title is ?my sanctuary . . . your sojourn? , this is to invite everyone to visit my place and I welcome you all.

Lord when i lose hope because my plans have come to nothing, help me to remember that ur love is greater than my disappointments and your plans for my life is always better than my dreams. hi just wanna know where is the origin of this sayings or prayer and who ever created this. tanx a lot!

Stumbled upon your blog when my PC caught the Dolina name.
I am a Dolina (my mother is Nieves Dolina from Palo). I wonder how we are related.

Oh my! Imagine myself in the hotel lobby sobbing..your article about Nanay was scruciating! Did I regret reading that? Nope..I just became emotional about it, especially upon reading and being kept reminded of our childhood struggles and the crises we went through..
True enough, those were just tests of times..look how we became!
